Lord Jesus,

You said, “As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples.”
How far must we love, then, to love as you loved us?
You reveal that to us in this invitation:
“Whoever wishes to be my disciple must take up his cross and follow me.”
Here we are, then, to follow you on your way of the cross.
According to the will of your Father, of our Father,
and in communion with your Spirit of Love,
we wish to follow you on this journey along the sacred way that leads to our unity as a couple.
Yes, we wish to follow you right to the heart of the mystery of conjugal love.
Are you not the well-beloved who left the side of God to unite himself to your beloved humanity,
and to love it to the end?
