Magnificat - Your Life is Everlasting

Mary Magdalene O Lord, may everything be done according to your word. But make it so that, for me, it happens right away! Jesus No disciple is above his Master: to join me there where I am going, you must also, following after me, in my name, in my person, make your bodies, your blood, your lives, a living offering of love unto the end, until you cross over, victoriously, through the baptism of death. But, I promise you, along this earthly pilgrimage you still have to accomplish, you will never be alone! I am with you until the end of time. Mary Magdalene How can you leave us, even as you stay with us? How can such a thing come about? Jesus Remember what I told you during my last Passover meal: “Do this in memory of me.” Truly, truly, when you come together in my Name around a meal; when, in memory of me, you will break the bread, bless it, share it and eat it, I will be there, really, substantially present at the heart of your lives. By your communion in my Body given up for you, I will be in you, as you will be in me. Yes, I say to you: when, in memory of me, you will take and eat the consecrated bread, it will be my Body coming back to itself in you, to restore you to your divine vocation. And thus, when you go towards others to serve them and to love them, it will be as what you are, in reality and in truth: the acting members of my Eucharistic body. 132 THE HOUR FOR THE FIFTH DAY
