You will find him lying in a manger.” A multitude of angels filled the sky, singing, “Glory to God in the highest!” The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem. 10 Mary and Joseph took Baby Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem, to present him to God. An old man approached them. His name was Simeon, and God had promised him that he would see the Messiah. Filled with joy, Simeon took Jesus in his arms, blessed God, and said: “The Lord has kept his promise. Here is the Savior, the Light of the world.” Mary and Joseph wondered at his words.
