2 INTRODUCTION Father Andrew Hofer, O.P. In the last encyclical of his pontificate, Saint John Paul II focused the Church’s attention on the Most Holy Eucharist. In doing so, he knew the Church would have no better model for Eucharistic faith than the Blessed Virgin Mary. In this extraordinarily beautiful teaching, he chooses, for example, to meditate on the Visitation, quoting Saint Elizabeth’s words, Blessed is she who believed (Lk 1:45). Saint John Paul II offers this contemplation on the Mother of God: “When, at the Visitation, she bore in her womb the Word made flesh, she became in some way a ‘tabernacle’—the first tabernacle in history—in which the Son of God, still invisible to our human gaze, allowed himself to be adored by Elizabeth, radiating his light as it were through the eyes and voice of Mary.” He then asks: “And is not the enraptured gaze of Mary as she contemplated the face of the newborn Christ and cradled him in her arms that unparalleled model of love which should inspire us every time we receive Eucharistic communion?” It is true! Mary shows us the most amazing way to adore the Lord Jesus and to receive him. With her consent and in her womb, the Word was made flesh. The eternal Son of God became her Son for our salvation. Unlike no other human being, she shows us the way to follow him through all the joys, lights, and sorrows of this earth to the unending glory of reigning with him in heaven. Following the great John Paul II, this little booklet that you have provides the opportunity for you to see more clearly that all the mysteries of the Rosary are profoundly Eucharistic. Every single mystery of the Rosary can lead us more deeply to believing, celebrating, and living the Eucharistic Mystery. Saint Louis de Montfort affirms: “The Holy Rosary, recited together with meditation on the sacred mysteries, is a sacrifice of
3 praise to God to thank him for the great grace of our redemption.” It is this redemption that we receive, above all, in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Now how can we more intimately know the abiding connection between the mysteries of the Rosary and the Eucharistic mystery? While giving the traditional structure of the prayers of the Rosary, the booklet adds a general opening prayer and a concluding prayer. For each of the mysteries, a Scriptural passage and an original prayer precede the Our Father. The additional prayers allow our hearts to connect the mysteries of this supreme Marian prayer with the Holy Eucharist. Moreover, when we pray the Rosary with the beautiful artwork offered in these pages, we can see in ever-new ways that our Rosary can prepare us to adore and receive Christ himself in the Eucharist. Saint John Paul II’s apostolic letter on the Rosary recognizes a number of possible adaptations. But he insists on one thing above all others: “What is really important is that the Rosary should always be seen and experienced as a path of contemplation. In the Rosary, in a way similar to what takes place in the Liturgy, the Christian week, centered on Sunday, the day of Resurrection, becomes a journey through the mysteries of the life of Christ, and he is revealed in the lives of his disciples as the Lord of time and of history.” When we pray the Rosary during our earthly journey, we are moved to contemplate the face of Christ with his Mother— even when we may be tempted to give up. Pope Francis has said, “Never abandon the Rosary. Never abandon the Rosary.” God is now lavishing the graces of a Eucharistic Revival, a time for the Holy Spirit to work in new ways in our hearts and across our land. By the power of the Spirit, we can pray the Rosary with a love that will lead us to adore and receive Christ himself, present in the Holy Eucharist, to the glory of God the Father. In this way, when it is time to approach Holy Communion, we can receive the grace to become living tabernacles of the Lord in a world made for his presence. ■

Introductory Prayer All-powerful and ever-living Lord, we thank you for the mysteries of your Son given for our salvation in the Holy Eucharist. As we pray this Rosary for a Eucharistic Revival, grant, we beseech you, the grace to be faithful to these same mysteries in union with his Blessed Mother, the Queen of the Rosary. Amen. The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
5 Hail Mary Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen. For many people it is customary to say the Fatima Prayer after the Glory be. Fatima Prayer Omy Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. See Hail, Holy Queen and concluding prayers on page 46. It is customary to pray the Joyful Mysteries on Monday and Saturday, the Luminous Mysteries on Thursday, the Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesday and Friday, and the Glorious Mysteries on Wednesday and Sunday.

Heavenly Father, your angel waited on the Blessed Virgin Mary to give her consent, and with that consent, your Holy Spirit overshadowed her, and your Word was made esh in her. The Visitation Word of God Luke :- W E heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” The Blessed Virgin Mary was the living tabernacle of your Son, Father most holy, when she greeted her cousin Elizabeth. Nourished by his Body, may we go in the peace of Christ and proclaim your greatness by word and deed to our neighbors who are in need. Our Father.... Hail Mary.... (ten times) Glory be....

The Baptism of the Lord Word of God Ephesians : b- I he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved. Concluding Prayers Let us pray: O God, whose Only Begotten Son, by his life, death, and Resurrection has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech thee, that meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise through the same Christ our Lord. Most holy God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we praise you for the mysteries of our salvation pondered in this Rosary for a Eucharistic Revival. As we conclude this Rosary, may our lives be transformed by your Holy Spirit so that we may always echo your lowly servant’s canticle of praise: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” Amen.
