My small steps toward Easter I cannot imitate Jesus by withdrawing for forty days in a desert. But tonight, as I go to bed, I will take a special moment to pray to Jesus in the silence of my room. I’m going to put this week that is beginning in his hands so that he will watch over it. And I will ask him to help me to recognize and appreciate the gifts he gives me in my daily life—most of all, the love that surrounds me in my family.
